One of the last subjects(which I've termed 'thinking thoughts' )my late brother Harold and I discussed shortly before his passing in 1998 concerned this very medium we are using today. The internet, and all of that digital information floating around in what is known as cyberspace. I asked him one evening as we were sitting learning how to use the new pc and surf the web, Just where does all of that 'invisible' information go? Is it in the air all around us? What if we could somehow see it? What would it look like? Will it have some sort of impact on our lives in the future good or bad? We all know that it's there somewhere. Each time we use a cell /mobile phone, we add more of this invisible 'digital stuff' to our surroundings yet many of us are totally unaware of it's very existence. I must admit here that we came to no significant conclusions on any of this but the discussion was very insightful to say the least. If you may have some thoughts or ideas on this topic, I'd really appreciate hearing from you.

- I've recently turned 59 and it's occured to me to do something that has always interested me. That being to begin asking a series of questions I'm sure many of you have asked yourselves at some point in your lives. How big is the universe? Why is it so big? Why are we humans here? Are we really the only humans in the cosmos? What does it all mean? And who or what started it all? Now I'm aware that many will feel overwhelmed at the thought of seeking answers to such interesting yet broad questions but, we need not be. My late brother and I often sat with each other and pondered those(which we termed'Thinking Thoughts') as well as many more for countless hours. I was amazed at the various conclusions two lay individuals could arrive at. And how stimulating it was for the mind. It is my hope in these postings that I may be able to continue those stimulating conversations not with just one person but with hundreds, maybe even thousands who may find these talks challenging. I was born and raised on the Texas gulf coast. I'm divorced with a son and daughter. My interests are purely those of a lay individual with hopes of sharing my thoughts with others who may enjoy similar ones.
